VideoRay is the largest volume producer of Underwater ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) in the world.  Established in 1999, VideoRay has worked with technology and mission partners throughout the world to develop and prove the small ROV tool for a wide range of applications.  With over 3,000 units delivered to a wide range of organizations for a wide range of missions, hundreds of VideoRays work every day throughout the world.  Our ROVs keep us free from terrorism, find and retrieve objects, inspect infrastructure both inland and offshore, and keep divers safe from hazardous conditions.  We pride ourselves on state-of-the-art customer support and easily operated and maintained underwater robotic systems. We are currently filling the role of Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer in our Pottstown, PA headquarters.

This position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.  The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company.  The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and experienced in both operations and finance; however, candidates with an emphasis in one discipline with experience in the other will be considered.  In addition, all candidates must have proven experience as COO or CFO in a technical product manufacturing environment. Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of VideoRay Operations
  • Collaborate with CEO and executive management team to provide structure, activities, and change as needed for smooth and effective operation around strategic goals
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives
  • Measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external
  • Timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
  • Spearheading the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Motivating and leading a high performance management team
  • Fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • Representing VideoRay with clients, vendors, and business partners
  • Evaluating overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensuring the company confirms with appropriate regulations
  • Establishing and managing the current high level of ethics with employees, customers, vendors and partners
  • Leading any M&A activity


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities –

  • Minimum of 8 years’ proven experience as COO or CFO or equivalent role in a technical product manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Experience in management of small, high technology business
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Strong business acumen and in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (i.e. supply chain, finance, production, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Ability to mentor middle management and other staff members to get the best out of each employee
  • Good MS Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability for occasional travel (domestic and international) if required
