VideoRay’s portability and on-site setup is a breeze. A small generator or your van’s battery and an inverter provide power if an outlet is not handy. The submersible weighs around 4 kg / 10 lb (depending on accessories and ballast weight) and can be carried to the entry point in a backpack or lifted by a worker with a rope. VideoRay’s small size means it can penetrate areas where human divers could not go safely, inspecting for leaks, sediment level, coating condition, and assessing the general condition of the tank. With a day or two of training, the operator learns how to avoid becoming caught on internal obstructions, pipes, and cables inside the tank. With the touch of a button on the hand controller, still pictures are captured and video is started or stopped – all recorded on the laptop hard drive for inclusion in reports. Experienced operators can thoroughly inspect many tanks in one day without interfering with their operation or risking contamination of the water.

As necessary, your VideoRay can be equipped with a wide range of accessories, such as an ultrasonic metal thickness gauge. These accessories are easily added in the field or removed when they are not needed.
