VideoRay ROV Sonar - Teledyne BlueView Imaging Sonars

Teledyne BlueView V Series 2D imaging sonars have been developed exclusively for VideoRay Pro 4 ROVs. Ideal for underwater detection and identification tasks in low or zero visibility conditions, V Series sonars provide both midrange detection and close-range identification capabilities from moving or stationary platforms. 

Adapted from the high-performance Teledyne BlueView P900 Series multibeam imaging sonar, V Series sonars feature the same power and capability of its predecessor in a 30% smaller package. The V Series sonar is available in two field-of-view (FOV) options for high-performance, forward looking imaging sonar: 90° and 130°. 

Teledyne BlueView M900-2250 Dual Frequency imaging sonars provide the most versatility of any 2D imaging sonar. The 900 kHz offers high-resolution long-range navigation, object detection, and obstacle avoidance, while the 2250 kHz provides ultra-high resolution at close range. ROV navigation, hull inspections, structure inspections, diver monitoring, and search and recovery are a few applications that benefit from the dual-frequency’s imaging capabilities.

An Integration Skid is required to operate any BlueView Imaging Sonar from the VideoRay Pro 4 ROV platform.  This skid, which holds the sonar head and communication electronics, mounts to the ROV in seconds so it can be added quickly when needed or taken off when visibility is good. All Pro 4 configurations including an imaging sonar are delivered with an Integration Package containing the skid mount and all necessary cables and software.

The Teledyne BlueView Imaging Sonars are not optimized for use on Pro 3 E, S, XE, GTO or lower VideoRay ROV.

The Teledyne BlueView V Series 2D Imaging Sonar shown on a VideoRay Pro 4 ROV. The custom Integration Skid holds the sonar in place and provides all the hardware and electronics needed to operate the V Series sonar.
