The Cygnus Ultrasonic Metal Thickness Gauge has been specifically designed to be mounted onto small observation ROVs such as the VideoRay Pro 3 and VideoRay Pro 4 platforms. Designed in conjunction with VideoRay, the gauges will allow the operator to carry out thickness measurements in areas that have previously been inaccessible using large ROVs or divers. Multiple Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges allow the measurement of metal thickness and corrosion without removing protective coatings.
Dedicated software displays and logs the time, date and thickness readings on the VideoRay Pro 4 PC or a user-supplied Pro 3 PC. We are currently working on a software update that will superimpose the thickness reading on the ROV feed through VideoRay's Pro 4 Cockpit Software.

VideoRay offers two types of probe handlers for integration onto the VideoRay ROV. The Standard Mount (Cygnus G1 Handler) designed for optimum positioning while the Angled Mount (Cygnus S1 Handler) is designed for readings on angled or curved surfaces such as ship hulls. Each system is delivered with your selected mount, the gauge, and a VideoRay integration kit.
