National Geographic Channel will mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of RMS Lusitania with an encore presentation of Dark Secrets of the Lusitania on Friday May 8th, 2015 at 21:00 ET (9 pm EST)
VideoRay was heavily involved in the production of this special which took place in August of 2011 off the southern coast of Ireland where the wreck of the ill-fated and controversial WWI vessel RMS Lusitania lies. VideoRay pilots Steve Van Meter and Brian Luzzi spent eight days on the Irish Lights vessel Granuaile piloting a VideoRay Pro 4 ROV on the RMS Lusitania (and even inside the wreck) along with other subsea technology organizations and highly skilled technical divers.
Dark Secrets of the Lusitania premiered in Ireland and the United Kingdom on July 15, 2012 on NatGeo.
The U.S. premiere aired on Friday August 31, 2012 at 9:00pm ET/PT on National Geographic Channel.
