VideoRay LLC announced today its sponsors for the VideoRay International Partner Symposium, which will showcase the latest in microROVs and state of the art accessories for underwater tasks. The event will be held aboard the Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, CA, November 18-20, 2003.
Sponsors for the event include Desert Star, Weda Water, Cygnus Instruments, Eastern Video, and Tritech Systems. Desert Star is the main event sponsor and will emphasize its Aquamap Shiphull Inspection system, which is gaining in popularity due to the surge in Homeland Security initiatives. Weda Water will showcase its technology of remote-controlled, automated equipment that eliminates the need for divers while taking a water tank offline. Cygnus Instruments will feature its thickness gauge, which was designed specifically to be mounted onto the VideoRay Pro II and was proven inside the USS Arizona battleship. Eastern Video will show its new broadcast-quality versions of VideoRay recordings for TV stations and movie production companies. Tritech Systems, providers of the smallest sonar technology available today, will announce a new, smaller sonar specifically for VideoRay.
Ralph White, motion picture cameraman, is the keynote speaker for VIPS. The topic of his original presentation is “Discoveries and Imaging with ROVs,” which will include White’s excursions with ROVs including the VideoRay and images. White holds the world’s record for the number of submersible dives into the RMS Titanic.
