One of the primary uses for VideoRay in both Law Enforcement (Local, State, and Federal) and Military Port Security applications is to ensure the safety of ships, piers, and infrastructure from terrorist activity. Since the water in ports is most often very low visibility and often polluted, the safety and sonar capabilities of a VideoRay are critical to mission success. The United States Combatting Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO), part of the United States Department of Defense, has worked with VideoRay to optimize our Hull Crawling capability for rapidly searching ship hulls for mines or improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Techniques have been developed by VideoRay and our partners to clear ports and ships, and courses are conducted regularly by A-T Solutions in both the US and other countries in these procedures.
