VideoRay

January 13 was the 7th anniversary of the Costa Concordia wreck, in which VideoRay played a large part in the removal project that began in May 2012. VideoRay was brought on to the project through iRov, a Dealer and Authorized Service Center of VideoRay in Italy. The mission required eight VideoRay Pro 4 ROV systems to provide eyes underwater in the extremely challenging and dangerous environment around the wreckage site. The mission ended with over 55,000 hours of recorded footage over two years of monitoring divers, penetrating the wreck, and conducting site surveys.

At VideoRay event VIPS in 2015, Phil Reed, one of the architects behind the Costa Concordia wreck removal, delivered a keynote discussing the mission.
