VideoRay is looking for a motivated and reliable experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join its team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities!
Position Description: The Senior Electronics Engineer acts as a lead electrical designer and is primarily responsible for developing schematics, production files and procedures, and test and evaluation criteria for PCB and other electrical systems. He/she is also responsible for new development as well as supporting production and QC as needed. He/she identifies process deficiencies and develops solutions to correct deficiencies and improve processes. In this role, he/she helps mentor and collaborates with junior Electrical Engineers, providing leadership and training.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and revise electronics PCBs
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, and components, applying knowledge of electronics and materials
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and providing Q/C acceptance criteria and procedures capabilities
- Perform FA inspection on PCB’s and other electronic modules
- Work within the existing firmware architecture to implement alterations, bug fixes, and performance enhancements, while documenting changes and maintaining version control for traceability
- When needed support production and QC to keep production cycles uninterrupted
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- PCB Circuit Design production experience from product level requirements, including schematic capture, component placement, libraries, layout, and simulation
- Hands-on experience with PCB/Electronic system bring-up, debugging, and functional verification
- Experience working cross functionally with power, mechanical, and firmware during product development
- Experience in developing firmware with Tivaware with Code Composer is a plus
- Motivated and result-driven team player with strong communication skills, demonstrable sense of ownership
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
- Bachelor’s or degree in electrical engineering and/or 5+ years of related experience in similar field

Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee may occasionally need to lift no more than 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
