Autonomous Underwater Mine Disarming Contracted by Navy

VideoRay Involved with Underwater Mine Disarming

The Office of Naval Research awarded a $9.5 million contract to create an underwater robotic system for the autonomous neutralization of underwater mines for the U.S. Navy. The contract went to a RE2 Robotics, a provider of intelligent mobile manipulation systems, and a Carnegie Mellon spin-out based in Pittsburgh, PA.
