Tritech

Tritech Gemini 720is

The Gemini 720is is the latest generation from Tritech’s renowned multibeam sonar range and offers a real-time, high-frequency imaging solution. The Gemini 720is produces images of superb clarity thanks to the combination of its 720 kHz operating frequency and Tritech’s state-of-the-art processing electronics.

With a 120° field of view and fast update rate of 30 Hz, the Gemini 720is is ideal for poor visibility environments. The Gemini 720is is supplied with Seanet Pro, Tritech’s data acquisition and logging software, which offers users the ability to network and operate the sonar along with a range of other Tritech sensors from a single software interface.

The Gemini stand-alone software also provides users with additional control over the Gemini 720is and can be upgraded to Gemini SeaTec to provide a variety of target classification and tracking capabilities. The ability to record data in a range of digital video formats and output screenshots for review comes as standard.

The product offers a world-class 97 Hz update rate at a 1 m range for video-like imagery. Target tracking algorithms developed by SeeByte are embedded with the Gemini software as standard.

Features
  • 720 kHz operating frequency
  • CHIRP processing for high-resolution imagery
  • Wide 120° field of view
  • Real-time updates for video-like imagery
  • Integrated velocimeter for accurate ranging
  • Ethernet or VDSL communication
  • Software development kit available
  • SeeByte embedded target algorithms

Compatible with Defender

Tritech Gemini 1200ik

The Tritech Gemini 1200ik multibeam sonar operates at two acoustic frequencies, 720 kHz for long-range target detection, and 1200 KHz for enhanced high-resolution imaging at shorter ranges. Switching between acoustic frequencies is done either manually or automatically at a range set by the user.

Unique to the 1200ik is the ability to maintain a 120° field of view when operating at both frequencies. This allows the target of interest to remain within view at all times, even when the target is in the near field.

CHIRP processing ensures that the Gemini 1200ik can provide high-resolution imaging at longer ranges, while the integrated VOS sensor ensures the image is displayed at a high degree of accuracy.

Operating to a depth of 35 m, the Gemini 1200ik can be used on a range of small to mid-size vehicles, as well as installed on larger vehicles operating in shallow water.

The Gemini 1200ik is fully compatible with Tritech’s software package, Genesis, which improves user interaction and allows control of a number of Tritech sensors from within one software package.

With the same physical size and identical interface connection, the Gemini 1200ik can be swapped out with any 720ik which is already installed, providing an easy upgrade path to higher resolution imaging.

As with all Gemini products, SeaTec software can be utilized to undertake more advanced decision-based activities based on the sonar data. The higher resolution capability of the Gemini 1200ik has the ability to perform target classification to an even higher degree of accuracy.

Finally, the Gemini software development kit (SDK) also supports the Gemini 1200ik and is available for Windows and Linux operating systems.

Features
  • Real-time updates for video-like imagery
  • 120° field of view
  • CHIRP processing
  • Integrated velocimeter for accurate ranging
  • Software development kit available
  • Robust mechanical design
  • Superior noise immunity designed for harsh environments

  • Compatible with Pro 5 and Defender

    Tritech Gemini 720im

The Gemini 720im fuses Tritech’s Gemini multibeam technology with Tritech’s Micron technology to create the world’s smallest multibeam imaging sonar.

Having a 90° horizontal field of view and 50m range, with an update rate up to 20 Hz, the Gemini 720im brings real-time imaging to places where multibeam was never possible before.

With incredibly compact dimensions the Gemini 720im can be used in applications where size is critical. This makes the Gemini 720im ideally suited for micro ROV/AUVs in addition to applications where space is restricted or weight is critical, including diver helmet and pole mounted applications such as Search and Recovery (SAR) operations.

Operating at 720 kHz, the Gemini 720im augments the successful Gemini range of imaging multibeam sonars and amalgamates many of the Gemini 720is and Gemini 720ik features into an ultra-compact unit.

The new Tritech Genesis integrated software suite communicates with the Gemini 720im, using Ethernet or Tritech’s advanced Serial Multibeam Protocol (TSMP).

The auxiliary port on the sonar allows for the daisychaining of sensors including the Micron USBL Modem and Micron EchoSounder.

Advanced adaptive processing ensures that the most detailed image possible is generated regardless of range. This includes automatic switching between Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse (CHIRP) and Continuous Wave (CW) modes of operation to maximize image definition.

Tritech’s Genesis software suite, is supplied with the Gemini 720im and is available from the Tritech website, supporting all Tritech’s sensors. There is also a Windows and Linux Software Development Kit (SDK) for the sonar to allow users to fully integrate the Gemini 720im into a customized system.
